Christine was born in Lancashire and spent her early life in rural Cheshire. A move to Shaldon, some fourteen years ago was to change the course of her work, Christine started to paint in acrylics and her work became more stylised, interpreting her local surroundings onto canvas.

Since moving to Devon, Russell has started to develop new work, combining a continuing fascination with landscape painting, capturing, in particular, the evocative and ever-changing face of coastal South Devon, with a simultaneous move to more figurative work stimulated by the Devon background.

John Hopkins trained at Birmingham Art College and studied fine art and illustration. Although he is still based in the Midlands, he is a regular visitor to Devon where he finds inspiration from the coastal scenery.

Victoria Hilliard has developed her kiln fired relief ceramic pictures over the past 25 years. In that time victoria has moved around England but always returned to her native Cornwall. Victoria loves 2 dimensional painting and drawing but always gets pulled back into working the clay in to the image she wants to present.

John Walker was born in 1962 and spent his early years in the rural village of Bushby in land-locked Leicestershire, where he enjoyed art at school, especially painting. He trained as a graphic designer in Bristol and worked in Devon County Council's design department.

Although not Devonian by birth, Ewan has lived in this part of the world since he was three. Whether living in Devon for more than twenty-five years makes him local or not is open to debate of course!

Having lived in Devon from the age of 11, Louise has enjoyed the countryside as a child and as an adult; marvelling at the diverse weather and views that the county has to offer. As a mother she has actively encouraged her sons to explore and embrace the county’s beauty.

Kathryn migrated west from London in 2008 seeking a more aquatic existence. Despite being brought up in the rolling green hills of Surrey, Kathryn’s early introduction to diving by her father has guaranteed what will surely be a life-long obsession with the sea and all that lives in it.
