John Hopkins
John Hopkins trained at Birmingham Art College and studied fine art and illustration. Although he is still based in the Midlands, he is a regular visitor to Devon where he finds inspiration from the coastal scenery.
He has worked as a successful professional freelance artist for over 30 years, working in all mediums, but specialising in watercolour. He also teaches groups of adults and encourages them to relax and enjoy the painting experience by giving demonstrations, using a bold, loose, step-by-step approach to the medium. John undertakes private commissions and also tries to find the time to indulge his passion for plein-air painting.
